Job purpose:

The Showroom Coordinator assists the Marketing Director with day-to-day Showroom operations which include showroom set ups and break downs, sales & marketing endeavors, event coordination, organization, and customer engagement.  This position will also collaborate with corporate partners to design and craft custom props and displays tailored to enhance the appeal and branding of each market show.  Outside of show season, the Showroom Coordinator will be involved in various marketing projects as a member of the marketing department.

 Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily showroom operations to include opening, closing, and shift change functions to maintain operational             standards each day. 
  • Provide administrative support, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondence.
  • Assist Marketing Director in the development of semi-annual showroom budget.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing Director on scheduling temporary assistance during both market set-up and market events, as well as, providing support and guidance to showroom personnel as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Marketing department for ticketing of showroom, ensuring all products are ticketed correctly.
  • Work closely with Marketing Director to develop and implement processes to increase efficiency and accuracy of showroom activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of Point of Sale transactions, scanning daily sample sale invoices, and credit card receipts to a shared folder.
  • Coordinate with the Importing and Marketing teams regarding all logistics for shipments arriving and communicate this information with the loading dock to ensure timely delivery of products and marketing materials.
  • Unpack shipments and organize product to prepare for market set-up in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through quarterly cycle counting, pull samples sold during market, and request new tags for any items with price changes.
  • Ensure accurate records of tracking samples from the corporate office, as well as those borrowed for accounts or other showrooms.
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy and completeness of daily sign-in-sheets during show.
  • Ensure timely restocking before show seasons, while also maintaining kitchen/bar inventory in preparation for market food and beverage orders.
  • Collaborate with outside contractors and vendors on showroom related project. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized showroom appearance at all times.
  • Act as the main POC with America’s mart and communicate all updates to the Marketing Director.
  • Provide exceptional hospitality and food service to representatives and customers during market shows.
  • Upsell and cross-sell products to meet customer needs and achieve sales targets.
  • Collaborates closely with the Marketing Director to develop bi-annual floorplans, utilizing line-list provided by the Importing and Product Development teams as a basis.
  • Adhere to guidelines set by the Marketing Director and assist in setting up and organizing merchandise displays to effectively showcase products.
  • Participate in strategy discussions around visual merchandising, branding, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Assist in marketing efforts, such as organizing promotional events or creating marketing materials.
  • Keep promotional and sales materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphics department.
  • Compile daily sales records/spreadsheets, transmit reports detailing showroom operations and sales During 2 major markets per year (January and July).
  • Maintain a clean and organized showroom appearance at all times.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations when handling equipment and materials.

 Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma and/or equivalent experience
  • 5 years or more years in a Customer Service or related field experience
  • Must have exceptional computer, data entry and analytic skills; Advanced Excel is required

 Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting, Standing, and Walking for extended periods of time
  • Physical ability to create displays which include climbing ladders, working on uneven surfaces, bending squatting, lifting, Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling)
  • Carrying, Pushing, Pulling boxes, catalogs, sample orders up to 50 lbs.
  • Moving props up to 50 lbs. individually, or up to 100 lbs. assisted
